15 - 6 ÷ 3 . 4 =

15- 2 .4 =

15 - 8 =7

If it was

15 - 6 * 3 ÷ 9 =

15 - 18 ÷ 9 =

15 - 2 = 13

The point to notice is to do multiplication and division from left to right in order, whichever comes first should be performed first.

8 - 5 ( 19 - 17) =

8 -5 ( 2) = 8 -10 = -2, and is not 3* 2 =6

Same way with variable

8 - 3 ( X +5) = 8 -3X - 15 = -3X -7
